Futura Feature w/ The Creative Lives (Video)

Futura Feature from TheCreativeLives on Vimeo.
Looking at the history of Futura’s career, it’s a real inspirational piece to study no matter what career you have your foot in. The documentary takes place at his exhibition in Los Angeles back in ‘08.
“A man that needs very little introduction, one of the godfathers of modern graffiti Lenny McGurr, aka Futura, was kind enough to share a few words with us during his Sept. 2008 pop up show in Los Angeles, “Strategic Synchronicity”. In this feature we talk about the influence Futura has had on modern street art and graffiti, and who he looked up to when he was a fan in 1970’s New York. Interviews with Saber, Revok, Slick, Mr. Brainwash, Jensen Karp, Pete Wentz, Divine Styler, and more.”

inkQuencer

The inkQuencer was created by Danish designer Sebastian Ronde Thielke as a way to bring “‘a more direct tangible way of experimenting with sound and rhythm.” With this mind, the inkQuencer has the ability to play music based on input processed via a camera hooked up to the program. The computer captured photograph is further compressed into a 32 x 30 pixel format which then processes the image accordingly for playback.
