Stussy - 30th Anniversary Denim by: Emily | December 30, 2009




Stussy will be celebrating it’s 30th year in running very soon as well. To commemorate standing strong in the industry for three decades, a series of limited edition and special products have been made, such as the Retrospective Collection and novelty Christmas calendar. For those who adore Stussy’s zestful style with generous pops of bright colors and graphics, the label had put a denim cherry on top of the birthday icing with a special 30th Anniversary Denim. These jeans are washed dark with a looser fit that is surprisingly tough and structured. The pants are adorned with various birthday details such as embroidered patches of “30″ and “XXX Stussy” on the front pocket and back pocket, and the quote “STANDING FIRM FOR 30 YEARS” is stitched up in classic Stussy swirly font in neon pink on the other back pocket. Putting some finishing touches to the birthday jeans, Stussy created a special navy leather tag embossed with “XXX” and printed matching pink details on the inside of the jeans so they will show when cuffed. While the jeans are now sold out online, those looking to cop a pair to celebrate Stussy’s 30th birthday in business can sign up for email alerts for when the jeans become available again.
